Update: Writing Resume

Just a quick update to my resume. I recently finished a rewrite on a screenplay entitled "Peter The Greatest." The original screenwriter is actor/author Claudia Christian ("Babylon 5," "The Hidden," Half Past Dead"). She has a brief role in "Serbian Scars," the script I wrote for producer Vladimir Rajcic which recently wrapped shooting in Belgrade which stars Michael Madsen and Mark Dacascos.

Claudia and I got to talking about the production and she asked if I'd take a look at her script, and a few weeks later I turned around the rewrite for her. She's submitting it to her agent and a producer who originally approached her about the project a few months ago, so hopefully it will move forward quickly.

Writing Resume - August Update

Just a quick update of my writing resume. The screenplay I wrote entitled "Serbian Scars" has wrapped filming in Belgrade and is entering post-production. The film stars Michael Madsen ("Kill Bill 1 & 2," "Reservoir Dogs"), Mark Dacascos ("Drive," "Cradle 2 the Grave"), and Claudia Christian ("Babylon 5," "Half Past Dead") and was directed by Brent Huff ("100 Mile Rule"). My last rewrite, "Clever Deception," is still in pre-production with Robert Townsend attached to direct and Michael J. Pagan ("See No Evil," "Gridiron Gang") set to star.

I'm currently looking for producers or investors to help set up another project of mine, "Hairtrigger," which is inspired by the true story of a Mississippi cop wounded and taken hostage by a wanted fugitive. Jesse L. Martin has expressed an interest in the script, and it's currently be read by several other well-known actors. If you'd like to know more, please contact me at gmlumpp@comcast.net.

July Update

Over the weekend of June 15th I was a part of the 48 Hour Film Project in Milwaukee, WI, working as a writer and director with Ted Tate Films. In less than 2 days we shot a short film entitled "Would You Like Cream With That?" Our hard work paid off: the short went on to win Best Writing, Best Directing, and Best Acting Ensemble. You can see all of the winners at http://www.48hourfilm.com/milwaukee/ . I share the Writing and Directing honors with John Faust and Darren Hafford, who also put the whole crew together. Big thanks to everyone for their hard work.

I've also updated my writing resume. Currently two of the projects I've worked on, "Clever Deception" (rewrite) and "Serbian Scars" (original screenplay based on the producer's treatment) are in pre-production. My independent film "When Heaven Comes Down" is now being distributed internationally.

If you're a producer who's interested in one of my spec screenplays, the following titles are available for option or purchase:

Hairtrigger
Ballad of Broken Angels
Jake Houston: Man of Action
Shadows of Life
Tooth and Nail

I'm also available to write originals or work on rewrites. I would also be interested in finding a producer that can help secure financing for any of these projects instead of selling them outright. Please contact me at gmlumpp@comcast.net if you're interested in working together.

Clever Deception Update

I'm happy to announce that Robert Townsend (Hollywood Shuffle) is attached to direct Clever Deception, the urban drama I rewrote for Johnny D. Boyd.

Blair Underwood (L.A. Law) is attached to star.

Johnny is also in talks with a well-known production company to handle the financing and distribution, so I'll hopefully have more to report in the very near future.
